The Golden Horn was commissioned by Allan Withington & Stavanger Brass Band and was premiered by them at Siddis (Norway) in November 2013.
With a high-energy Turkish dance-like feel to it, The Golden Horn is a great opener, closer or encore piece. The riff-based mid-section of the work may be extended to include improvised solos if you wish, whilst the addition of percussion is optional.
