This arrangement of the traditional folk song Greensleeves brings it forwards several hundreds of years, presented in a range of jazz styles. Light, brisk playing suits the jazz waltz opening. The swing and funk sections should not be rushed, instead, observe carefully the detail in articulation in order to achieve authentic and stylistic playing. Attention should also be paid to who has the melody or lead line, especially at points when the roles pass quickly between players.

This arrangement was commissioned by Ken Morris for his saxophone quartet 'Saxophonica' and the saxophone choir 'Saxophonix', the latter is part of 'The Music Hot House' organisation under the direction of Jon Eno.
