Inspired by a poem written by Lemn Sissay (taken from his children's book “The Emperor's Watchmaker”), And Everything Is Still… was commissioned by the Royal Northern College of Music & premiered in the original scoring of flute and piano in June 2008.
A simple melody unravels alongside delicate harmonic statements, creating a calm and gentle atmosphere.
This arrangement for flugelhorn and piano was arranged by the composer, and premiered at the Royal Northern College of Music in May 2016 by Laura Wilson & Jonathan Scott
