This Edition is based on the handwritten manuscript of Eileen Pakenham.
The stroking markings for the right hand are based on the performance of the piece by Irene Bone on mandolin and Eileen Pakenham on piano.
All tremolo notes are shown. Notes which are written under one slur should be played using continuous tremolo. Performance markings (e.g dynamics, tempo) are all as in the handwritten manuscript. The manuscript shows staccato markings on all non tremolo notes. These have been taken out as they, in my opinion, mean non tremolo rather than staccato. The performer is free to add staccato articulations to reflect the character of the piece.
