Mr Honey Walks Down the Street was composed in 1970. The original manuscript of the mandolin part shows staccato markings on all shorter notes to show that the notes are to be played “non tremolo”. These staccato markings have been removed from this edition. Nevertheless the performer is encouraged to articulate the music using staccatos to express the lively and cheerful feel as requested by the composer (“With a jaunty air”).
