Fujiko is a beautifully scored reflective and melancholy piece. Commissioned by the British Clarinet Ensemble and premiered by the BCE in 2005 at the International Clarinet Association Festival in Tokyo, Japan, with sponsorship from the Clarinet & Saxophone Society of Great Britain and Henri Selmer Paris.
In its flute form, Fujiko has been performed and recorded as a flute & piano duo (published as part of the Vocalise collection with Astute Music) and as solo flute with wind orchestra. Featured on 'The Bad Tempered Flute - flute music of Andy Scott' CD and the 'Roar! - wind band music by Andy Scott' CD, both featuring Andy Findon.
This flute choir version has been especially arranged by the composer.
