Scottish composer Tom Harrold (b.1991) is a Radcliffe Trust Scholar at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Professors Adam Gorb and Gary Carpenter.
Tom's music has been performed worldwide at venues which include the Cadogan and Berlin Philharmonic Halls, the Maison Symphonique de Montréal, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Kings Place, and the Southbank and Barbican Centres by groups which include the BBC Scottish Symphony, Scottish Chamber, Aurora, and Birmingham Festival Orchestras, the Manchester Camerata, WorldBrass, Onyx Brass, SuperBrass, Total Brass, the Lancashire Sinfonietta, the Endymion Ensemble, Trinity Boys Choir, the BBC Singers, and Exaudi. He has received BBC Proms performances, and has been commissioned twice by the Royal Philharmonic Society in their bicentenary year. Tom’s music has been broadcast and recorded by BBC Radio 3, Linn Records and Bayerischer Rundfunk. Tom's current projects include a co-commission from BBC Radio 4 and the BBC Proms, a premiere by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at the St Magnus Festival, and a Creative Scotland-funded commission for the Edinburgh Quartet. |
