Fujiko is cinematic soundscape that reflects its Japanese roots, where the original clarinet version was premiered in 2005. A feature for solo cornet that commences with a simple folk-like melody, and builds to a powerful and emotive climax, before an atmospheric and calm ending. Originally commissioned by the British Clarinet Ensemble & funded by the Clarinet & Saxophone Society of Great Britain & Henri Selmer Paris., Fujiko has been expertly ar-ranged for Brass Band by good friend and colleague, Jim Fieldhouse.
