Rob is a freelance performer, composer and teacher. Rob studied at Chetham’s School of Music with James Muirhead (1998-2006). He then studied at Royal Northern College of Music (2006-2010) before studying for a Masters in Music Performance in jazz saxophone at the Royal Academy of Music (2010-2012). Rob has released two albums, ‘Gemini’ (2024) and his debut album ‘Gods of Apollo' (2019) both on Ubuntu Music, each of which were received to critical acclaim. Rob teaches privately as well as at being a visiting music teacher at Junior RNCM, Shrewsbury School and Ellesmere College. He appears with the Halle and CBSO as well as with the Manchester Concert Orchestra. Rob curates and produces The Jazz Podcast in his spare time.
